INSTRUCTIONS, USE AND MAINTENANCE

Warnings

Before having used your helmet, read the following instructions carefully, they are very important for your safety and for your helmet to maintain its efficiency over time. Our helmets are intended, designed and built with the state-of-the-art technologies to offer the highest safety for the motorcycle drivers. Our helmets are manufactured only for motorcycle use and for this reason it cannot guarantee proper protection if used for different purposes or for other sports. In case of an accident, especially in the event of a strong impact, the helmet just cannot eliminate the risk of fatal injury. This is a helmet designed, developed and approved according to the requirements of the ECE/ONU 22.05 standard. Therefore it’s only allowed to use in countries where this legislation was adopted. Cannot be used in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

Choice of size

The helmet must perfectly envelope the head, without overly compress it and without being uncomfortable. Only a helmet that fits perfectly is safe. Once the new helmet is worn, it should be slightly tight around the head circumference. The helmet should compress slightly the head without tightening or making trouble, especially on the temples, forehead and nape of the neck. After have been wearing for a few minutes, shaking the head, the helmet should move only a little bit and the cheeks should be slightly compressed. If you feel the helmet moves, the size is large, if you feel uncomfortable compressions, the size is small. Never wear a helmet if is too small or too large: it can be dangerous.

Correct use of the helmet

The helmet have to absorb the acceleration in case of fall and ensure the maximum protection. Please is important to follow these guidelines:

  • For adequate protection, this helmet must fit closely and be securely attached.

It’s necessary to wearing the helmet in the right position, have to cover the forehead. Be careful to don’t wearing it rotated too backward on the head.

  • Fasten the chin strap of the helmet! Carefully in a way that is tight enough to ensure that the helmet does not slip off from the head. Before leaving, always make sure that the buckle of the chin strap is locked. We suggest a pre-adjustment with at least 3 clicks of the cogged lanch plate. With the right number of clicks you have the best safety and comfort of this micrometric system.

  • Any helmet that has sustained a violent impact should be replaced.

  • Warning! This helmet does not protect chin from impacts.

  • Do not leave the helmet near heat sources or other sources of heat and in summer, during stops, protect it from the sun's rays.

  • The helmet must be stored in a dry place at a temperature between +5° and +30°. Place the helmet so that it cannot fall.

  • Warningn! Do not apply paint, stickers, petrol or other solvents to this helmet.

  • Do not modify and/or tamper with the helmet (even only partially) for any reason. Any changes and/or alterations compromise the safety requirements, undermining the protective capacity of the helmet; they could make the helmet no longer in compliance with the homologation rules, and as such make it unusable, and make the related warranty inapplicable.

Correct use of the visor

  • Always keep clean the visor to ensure a clear view. Visors scratched or damaged must be replaced immediately,it’s not safe.

  • Visors marked “day time use only” are not suitable for use during the hours of darkness or in conditions of poor visibility.

  • To remove the visor you have to tighten the lateral screws with your fingers and unscrew them by turning them counter -clockwise. If it is difficult, i twill be possible to use an appropriate pliers. To reassemble the visor, make the above operations in reverse order.

Cleaning and maintenance

To clean the outside part of the helmet shell, please use warm water with mild soap. Dry with soft, non-abrasive cloths and don’t expose to heat sources.

To clean the visor, use a solution of mild soap and warm water and dry with a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Don’t use products such as alcohol, petrol, solvents, or other alcohol-based glass cleaning products, they can damage the visor treatments.

The removable internal parts can be cleaned by hand washing in cold water. Let dry in the shade and at room temperature. Please don’t use electric dryers, the heat can damage materials.

Service use

Every helmet and visor should be changed after 3/5 years of average use, even if we always use high-quality materials and components.

Sun-visor version

This helmet may be equipped with a internal sun-visor.

To raise and lower the sun-visor, simply raise or lower the pin on the left of the sun-visor with your left hand.

Instructions for remove the sun-visor:

  • raise the main visor

  • lower the sun-visor

  • pull the lateral side of the sun-visor with the pin, strongly, towards the front of the helmet and slightly down

  • pull the opposite side of the sun-visor, firmly, on to the front of the helmet and slightly to the bottom

Mounting instructions for the sun-visor:

  • insert the fork of the sun-visor, starting from the lateral side with the pin, into the red hook inside the helmet

  • insert in the same way the other side of the sun-visor

  • please check that both sides are hooked correctly upon hearing "clack"

  • the sun-visor sreen have to slides freely

Bluetooth version

This helmet could be equipped with a bluetooth intercom system. The system inbuilt and not removable.

None of our helmets are designed to mount the bluetooth systems by the user, this means that if a helmet was bought without bluetooth system, cannot be possible to mount one later. To take away the removable cheek pads, please follow the enclosed instructions.
